with beads of dew frost on her wings

Leaping Fish

Done for Carpe Diem and written in Basho's Leap Linking style of haiku writing and with inspiration drawn from Jane Reichhold's haiku below:

a fish opens door
in the lake

between two worlds
leaping fish

flashing its silver
against the moonlight
leaping fish

lake bubbles a fish leaps with my heart

Early Bird

Done for Carpe Diem and after Masoaka Shiki's Shasei haiku writing style which encourages poets "to depict the thing just as it is".

at the tail of a late worm

the feeling of journeying along
