 Penned for A Prompt Each Day. Inspired by the photo below:
Shadows


I
flicker of light
the shadow of a spider slips
out of lantern chimney

II
the adowa dancer
she rims her hair with a halo
 of lantern soot

III
shea butter mixed with soot
granny calls back
her days young

IV
flickering lantern
the length and breadth
of our shadows

    Really interesting Afriku. I like how shadows are brought to life by flickering lantern. grandma calling her days young, couldn't help but smile. Brilliant.
